Demiction – Terms of Use & Privacy Policy
Part 1 — Intellectual Property & Terms of Use
1. Ownership
Demiction and all related materials are the exclusive property of the Owner, Haitham Fadi Haitham Al-Saih. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Application name
- Branding and logos
- User interface designs
- Visual assets and graphics
- Software code
- Application architecture
- Productivity systems
- Progression systems
- Gamification mechanics
- Original content and documentation

2. Proprietary Progression & Gamification System
The "Me" feature within Demiction — including its underlying concept, design, and mechanics of linking user-defined tasks and daily habits to a character progression system, experience points (XP), levels, "Aspects," and overall rank advancement — is an original system conceived and developed by the Owner. This gamified habit-and-task progression mechanic, including its specific structure of linking tracked tasks to a leveling and rank system, its XP calculation and allocation logic, its tiered rank structure, and its related interactive and visual presentation, constitutes proprietary intellectual property of the Owner.
No person or entity may reproduce, adapt, implement, distribute, or otherwise use this system, in whole or in part, in any other application, product, or service, without the Owner's prior express permission, granted in writing and personally signed by hand by the Owner. This restriction applies regardless of whether the resulting implementation uses different names, visual designs, color schemes, or technical architecture, provided that the underlying concept or mechanic of linking tracked tasks/habits to a progression, leveling, or rank system is substantially similar in function or purpose.
3. Copyright
Copyright © 2026 Demiction. Unauthorized copying, reproduction, distribution, modification, resale, or republication of any part of the application is prohibited without prior written permission from the Owner.
4. License
Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Demiction for personal, non-commercial purposes. This license does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property rights.
5. Restrictions
Users may not:
- Copy or redistribute the application
- Reverse engineer the software where prohibited by law
- Attempt to extract source code
- Remove copyright notices
- Use application assets for commercial purposes without permission
6. Age Requirement
Demiction is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children below the minimum age required by applicable law in their jurisdiction (in any case, no younger than 13 years of age). By using the application, the user confirms that they meet this minimum age requirement, or, if younger, that they are using the application under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on their behalf. The Owner reserves the right to restrict or terminate access for any user found to be in violation of this requirement.
7. Third-Party Software
Demiction may incorporate open-source or third-party software components and libraries, each of which remains subject to its own respective license terms. Use of such components does not grant users any rights beyond those expressly stated in this document.
8. Distribution Platforms
Demiction may be distributed through third-party platforms such as the Microsoft Store or Google Play. Use of the application obtained through such platforms is also subject to the applicable terms of service of that platform (e.g., the Microsoft Store Terms of Use / Standard Application License Terms, or the Google Play Terms of Service), in addition to this document. In the event of a direct conflict between this document and a mandatory platform policy, the platform policy shall govern solely with respect to matters within that platform's jurisdiction.
9. Disclaimer
Demiction is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. No guarantee is made regarding uninterrupted operation, error-free functionality, or specific outcomes resulting from the use of the application.
10. Local Data & Device Responsibility
Demiction stores user-created data locally on the user's device. The Owner is not responsible for any loss, corruption, or unauthorized access to this data resulting from device failure, software malfunction, accidental deletion, uninstallation, operating system updates, or any other cause outside the Owner's reasonable control. Users are responsible for maintaining their own backups where desired.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of Demiction.
12. Feedback
Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas submitted by users regarding Demiction may be used, modified, implemented, incorporated into, or otherwise utilized by the Owner without compensation, acknowledgment, or attribution to the submitting user.
13. Modifications to the Application
The Owner reserves the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the application at any time, without prior notice.
14. Changes to This Document
This Terms of Use and Privacy Policy document may be revised from time to time. Any changes will become effective upon publication within the application, at its hosted URL, or through official distribution channels. Continued use of Demiction after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Users are encouraged to review this document periodically.
15. Governing Law
This document is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any disputes arising from the use of Demiction shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Egypt, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
16. Severability
If any provision of this document is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
17. Consumer Protection
If any provision of this document conflicts with mandatory consumer protection laws or other non-waivable legal rights applicable to a user under their jurisdiction, such laws and rights shall prevail to the extent required by law, without affecting the validity of the remaining provisions of this document.

Part 2 — Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Welcome to Demiction. Demiction is a productivity and personal development application designed to help users manage tasks, habits, goals, focus sessions, and personal progress. We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about how the application operates.
2. Information We Collect
Demiction does not require account creation or user registration. Demiction does not directly collect personal information such as:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Home address
- Government identification information
All tasks, habits, goals, statistics, levels, and progress information are stored locally on the user's device.
3. Local Data Storage
The application stores user-created data locally on the device in order to provide its core functionality. This may include:
- Tasks
- Habits
- Goals
- Productivity statistics
- Focus session records
- Progress and level information
This information is not transmitted to Demiction servers, because Demiction does not operate cloud storage services for user data.
4. Distribution Platforms
Demiction may be distributed through third-party platforms such as the Microsoft Store or Google Play. These platforms may independently collect certain technical or diagnostic information (such as download, installation, or crash data) in accordance with their own respective privacy policies. The Owner does not directly control the data collection practices of these distribution platforms. Users should review the privacy policy of the platform through which they obtained the application.
5. Data Security
Since user-generated data is stored locally on the user's device, users are responsible for maintaining the security of their device and any backups they create.
6. Children's Privacy
Demiction is not directed at children below the minimum age required by applicable law in their jurisdiction (in any case, no younger than 13 years of age), and the Owner does not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age. If the Owner becomes aware that a child under this age has provided personal information through the application, the Owner will take reasonable steps to address the matter. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided such information may contact the Owner using the details below.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will become effective upon publication within the application, at its hosted URL, or through official distribution channels.
